Scope and content
Papers compiled by Dr E M I Hick (nee Isabel Turner) during her career as a doctor. Includes correspondence sent from the National Health Service regarding remuneration of general medical practitioners and arrangements for the supply of oxygen and oxygen therapy equipment, letter from National Health Service in 1963 listing items not regarded as drugs or medicines, memorandum issued by Leeds regional hospital board relating to the diagnosis and treatment of anthrax, letters from the Public Health Department to Hick informing her that cheques would be sent to her for returning notices of infectious diseases and for carrying out vaccinations, rules issued by the General Infirmary at Leeds Children's Department for the feeding of infants and older children, National Health Service (Superannuation) Regulations form filled in by Hick in 1958, memorandum of administrative arrangements for a diploma and certificate in Public Health issued by the University of Leeds, letter from Leeds Area Health Authority (teaching) Family Practitioner Committee relating to direct payments for ancillary staff. The folder also contains an eye test card issued in January 1934, presumably to Mr G Hick, a relation of Hick (nee Turner).
