Surgical Innovations Limited were founded by Professor Mike McMahon, a Laparoscopic Surgeon, and engineer Pete Moran in 1992. That same year, they launched the first product line of surgical instruments, called Endoflex. After becoming a public limited company in 1998, Surgical Innovations launched more products, significantly Yelloport in 1999 and Logic reusable instruments in 2000, and Logicut scissors in 2001. Surgical Innovations moved to a custom made premises at Clayton Wood House in Leeds in 2008, and the company was awarded with a Queen's Award for Innovation in 2010. The company's mission is to partner with healthcare professionals to provide sustainable solutions which reduce the environmental footprint generated by surgery, without compromise to patient outcomes.
