Dorothy Thornton nee Wood. Trained as a Registered Nurse at Bradford Royal Infirmary and was accepted on to the Register of The General Nursing Council for England and Wales on the 6th of May 1958. She won several awards at the Presentation of Medals, Prizes, and Certificates at Bradford Royal Informary. Dorothy won the following awards: Gold Medal, Nursing Prizes: Theory of Practice of Nursing, Medical Prize and Orthopaedic Prize. Dorothy also received a Certificate of Training (Honours).
