The Pomeroy company was established in the United States by Daniel Pomeroy in 1867. A manufacturer of surgical appliances, its headquarters was in New York, with offices in Boston, Brooklyn, New York, Newark, Springfield, Detroit and Wilkes-Barre. Pomeroy manufactured frame trusses, elastic stockings, corsets, orthopedic appliances, artificial limbs and water pad trusses.
Scope and content
Scrapbook of pamphlets and circulars produced by the Pomeroy Company and issued to clients between 1949 and 1953. Includes advertisements for frame trusses, sample designs for Pomeroy headed notepaper, drawings of sample truss designs.
