Reports compiled by T.S. Beardmore on behalf of Chas. F. Thackray Company, of visits to surgeries and hospitals in Egypt, and Beardmore's attendance on behalf of the Thackray Company at the International Surgical Congress in Cairo. Includes quotations for orders of equipment and furniture compiled by Beardmore and returned to the Thackray Company to send to hospitals, sketches of equipment designs, reports on visits to surgeries and hospitals in parts of Egypt including Cairo, Assiut [Asyut], Tanta, Minieh, Menoufieh, Maghagha, Sherbin, Alexandria, Luxor, Port Said, Ismailia, quotations and reports from meetings with surgeons at the International Surgical Congress in Cairo including surgeons from France, Spain, Belgium, Australia, Syria, Palestine, China, Romania, Germany and the United Kingdom, quotes sent from the Thackray Company's Cairo offices to the Government Hospital in Alexandria quoting for theatre emergency lamps, quotations for equipment purchased from the Thackray Comapny by the British Hospital at Port Said in Egypt. The book also contains an attached black and white photograph taken by Beardmore of a globe advertising Davis and Geck Sutures, that was placed on the Thackray stand during the International Surgical Congress exhibition in Cairo.
