Carol Milner (nee Rawlings) was born in Burmantofts, Leeds. In 1969 she applied for the Radiography course at St. James's School of Radiography and was successful. She qualified in 1972 with a DCR(R) [Diploma of the College of Radiographers] and in 1978 qualified in ultrasound with a DMU [Diploma in Medical Ultrasound].
Milner worked in Radiology for 49 years in the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, reaching the role of Senior Radiographer role, before retiring in 2018. She was admitted a member of the Society of Radiographers in 1980.
