Scope and content
Rule book printed and published by the Central Midwives Board of Scotland. The book was issued to May Jackson upon completion of her examinations in 1935. The rule book contains duties of midwives, details of forms and certificates required and advice on treatment for illnesses including inflammation of the eyes in new-born children, gonorrhoea, syphilis, pemphigus in the new-born child, cancer of the breast and cancer of the womb.
