Scope and content
A mid-World-War-Two newspaper, most prominently detailing the fall of Germany to the allies from both the east and west. White flags of surrender reportedly having been waved in large quantities as the allies approached them after crossing the Rhineland, with airmen supporting this alongside an image. There's also a section on the "Desolation in the Ruhr Area" on the German side of the Rhineland with an image showing devastated territory from the excessive bombing and artillery campaigns to set the stage for an invasion. Tribute from Parliament for Lord Lloyd-George. British prisoners of war having been liberated from prison camps in Poland by the Russians, and from Luzon after reportedly inhuman treatment by the Japanese. There is no mention of Bernard Clive Nicholson.
