Hanson Academy in Bradford, West Yorkshire Academy in Bradford, West Yorkshire served as one of the biggest producers of visors and scrub bags during the Covid-19 pandemic, working alongside Yorkshire Scrubs: a volunteer led organisation to supply hand-made scrubs to frontline workers.

Scrub bags are a type of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to aid frontline workers in keeping themselves and household members safe from contact with any potential contamination with the virus, at a time where there was a mass shortage of protective clothing. The scrub bag would have been used to house work uniform when the worker went home to allow it to be washed separately from any other items.

The Hanson Academy had distributed the PPE to NHS hospitals, care homes, pharmacies and the West Yorkshire Police.
