This set of objects contains a letter of appreciation issued by the NHS to its staff for their courage and commitment during the Covid-19 pandemic. Charlotte, a student at Education Centre, took inspiration from this and decided to write her own letter of thanks, copied below. It is addressed to her mother, who worked as a doctor during the pandemic.

"Dear Doctor Karakantza,

Thank you for your care and compassion in helping us overcome the Covid-pandemic. You always carry on with great optimism in spite of busy hospitals and lack of staff.
Also, thank you for being a generally good and nurturing friend, sister, daughter, listener and of course Mom!"

By Charlotte, Swarthmore Education Centre
