CFILM [C-FILM] FEMININE CONTRACEPTIVE SEALED IN CELLOPHANE PACKET (x 2)

Labels
The C-film is a hormone free spermicidal contraceptive which was first marketed by Potter and Clarke in 1986. Vaginal contraceptive film could be bought over the counter without prescription and, though still available internationally, is no longer sold in the UK. It is inserted into the vagina at least 15 minutes prior to intercourse and dissolves to release a protective gel containing N-9 (nonoxynol-9), protecting against pregnancy for up to three hours. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it is 82% effective when used alone, so it is most effective when used alongside other contraceptive methods such as the pill. The manufacturing company first traded as Potter & Clarke in 1907, but originated when Henry Potter set up as a herbalist in 1812. They were acquired by Galenica AG in 2003.
